Bali

This is Alison's pool.  It was beautiful, but much colder than in the UAE.  Also, unfortunately, behind that hedge used to be a rice field, but is now a construction site because they are building a house on it.  G and H had a great time swimming.

This is Estelle, the Balinese girl Alison is taking care of (and wants to adopt).  She was sweet.

These are Alison's sons (Dominic on the left and Alexander 3rd from left).  Henry and they were going to do zip lining and climbing in the trees.

Henry did well and careful with the various clips.

G, Charles in a sarong, and Alison.

 Balinese pond at a restaurant.

Charles feeling fine at the club that Alison belongs to.  It has a pool and is connected to the school the boys go to.  It felt very colonial - white with ceiling fans, a library, all westerners, a patio restaurant.

This was the best meal I had on Bali.  Different piles of Indonesian things - peanuts, vegetables, rice, shrimp crackers, chicken satay, chicken curry.  It was very nice.

This is a coffee plant with berries.

This is a rice field.  The weather is so warm there that rice can apparently be grown all year round, so the rice was at all different stages.  It has to get taller and browner to be ready to pick.  It looks like grass and rice grains grow out of the top like wheat.
