Kuala Lumpur

Then, we went to Malaysia, staying in Kuala Lumpur.  This was the pool.  Although it was Ramadan, it was possible to eat and drink in public there.  Apparently, the Muslim population is 60% of Malaysia, so that is why (not 100%).

These were the Batu Caves we took a train to .  They are a Hindu shrine now.  Many stairs, and monkeys everywhere.
Petronas Towers, KL.  Very tall.  Pretty white at night.  Mall underneath where we had food.  Malaysian food seemed to be like Indonesian food - lots of peanuts, fish sauce, dried fish, rice, noodles.  I did not like these cuisines as much as Thai food.  But it was all fun to try.

Bird Park in KL.  Many wonderful birds all over the place.  Henry volunteered to be in the show.  He hid a ball under a shell and the parrot found it!
This is a thali, southern Indian food I had one day, on a banana leaf.  I tried to eat it with my fingers to show how international I am .  It worked ok.
Malaysian tea in the Cameron Highlands, the hills several hours north of KL.  That's a coconut cake.  It was delicious tea.  Nice and cool air up there.
This is Charles having his feet nibbled by fish in KL later.  It is supposed to clean and massage the feet.  Also tickles.
Here are the tea hills.
Fresh tea leaves.  I ate one.  Bitter.
Jungle/forest walk we took in the mist.
