Here are a few pics of Bangkok and our trip to the elephant park. This is G making green papaya salad in the countryside.
This was a wild elephant in the elephant park. He or she was just walking down the road and so all the cars had to stop for a half hour so as not to scare it. The elephant was taking his or her time eating on one side of the road and then on the other side. Finally, he or she walked up to a small truck and stole the mat out of the back! Then, it bounded off into the jungle. It was so funny. The men in the small truck were laughing as they drove by!
Then, we had our more tame elephant ride and this was Charles afterwards, hugging the elephant. Charles's dreams came true that day.
Me at the Reclining Buddha in Bangkok. It was big and golden.
Silom Thai Cooking School. G and I made tom yum soup, pad thai, Thai green curry, etc. G did pounding for the curry. She also roasted spices. We both loved the food. we sat with women from Singapore and Korea.
Giant cobra at Snake Farm in Bangkok. We were only a few feet away and the handlers were picking them up. Apparently, cobras can't see you if you don't move, but if I saw a cobra I would be moving very quickly I am sure. Or trying to. Henry loved it. It was the highlight of the trip for him.
Eating again at MBK food court. It's a huge mall, not like an American mall or an Emirati mall. And upstairs was local food.
G loved the Thai iced tea in Bangkok. It's with milk and sugar and tastes of something I can't identify.
We were at Chinatown in Bangkok. It was crazy down there, with lots of people and red lanterns and food stalls. We found a suki yaki restaurant which I think it where they give you a pot of broth and you cook your food in it. Like fondue. But we did not have that. They were happy after some ice cream there.

We did pretty well in Bangkok. It was a bit overwhelming, but we managed seeing the temples, riding the boats, going to Chinatown, taking taxis. Off to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.
