A summer around the world

We left our home in Al Ain on 25 June and then stayed at the home of friends and in a hotel until July 11.  We flew to the UK and saw Charles' mother, and his brother Robert, who died a month later.  We then went to Michigan where we had not been in four years.  We saw lots of family and friends.  On 12 August, we went to China to start our new lives.  It was a summer of endings and leaving, of fear and excitement.
