Kyoto was a very enchanting place. The taxi drivers were gracious and wore white gloves, there were a 1000 temples, we saw a Geisa walking, the snowy sprinkled down.
We went to a tea ceremony so we could see how matcha was served.
Charles putting matcha into his cup to wisk.
Tempura shrimp with miso soup, rice, pickles and tofu. This was a random example of the nice food all over. For breakfast at our hotel, we had rice, miso, pickles, vegetables, tea.

This was the fancy restaurant we went to. They cut the fish in front of us. It was great. We had tempura, tofu, sashimi, sake, beef, green tea ice cream, tea.
It was very unassuming.
One day, early, Charles and I walked to Shoren-in Temple and had matcha on a mat in the garden. It was so nice and peaceful.
The garden was beautiful and there were groves of bamboo.
