Kyoto was so interesting, I wish we could have stayed a few more days. There was a lot we didn't see.
This was our sushi lesson and Japanese cooking lesson. We made rolled sushi, daishi broth, sesame salad. We had plum wine and tea. It was cold that day and G and I walked to get there, leaving Charles and Henry at the manga museum.
We stopped at a Starbuck's on the way back.
We walked through the fish market.
and saw some wonderful streets full of restaurants.
We went to a Zen temple the next morning, Kodai-ji.
and had matcha again in the garden.
These were streets full of people.
At Kyoto Train Station, G and I had more lovely fish and rice and soup.
These are the great hot drinks machines that are all over - and I mean on every street corner. They come out hot! Very sweet, though.
At the airport, I had hot sweet cans of coffee, and various matcha chocolates...
